Every fix below started with a Star Captain telling us something was wrong, often with exactly the steps that made it happen. Thank you to everyone who reported. Each report was read, and each fix below is live.
Signing in on another browser
A captain who signed in on the Create screen of a new browser could be shown new-player setup instead of their progress. The cause was timing: the cloud backup looked for your account only when the page loaded. It now checks the moment your profile links and waits for the answer. The Create screen says "Looking for your account's progress" while it looks. Settings, Privacy and data also has a new Import progress button. It keeps a copy of what the browser had first, asks you to confirm, and then reloads.
A tip for Edge
Some of you saw a lower frame rate in Edge than in other browsers. Nothing in our code differs by browser, but Edge has settings that can limit games. When Edge stays under about 48 frames a second for 15 seconds, a one-time card now points to Edge's efficiency mode, graphics acceleration and the Windows per-app graphics preference.
Achievements keep up
- Industrial Titan counted Metals per absence, and the count reset each time an away report was shown. It now banks every window.
- Warmaster and First Blood could lose wins when an older cloud copy replaced a newer local one. The record now keeps the highest count it has seen and checks your achievements again on load.
- Grand Strategist could be taken away by a check made for the wrong id. It now asks about your account, and only removes the achievement when the answer is certain.
Dominion and the Create screen also wait for the account check before founding a colony or naming your captain, so a returning captain is not asked to start over.
Your own capital is safe
Two fixes landed at home. First, your own capital no longer turns on you after a collision scrape from your honour guard or a stray shot. Contacts never count as provocation now, and a stray shot gets a "check your fire" line. Then, at your home capital, the guard flagship and honour guard take no damage from your weapons or your allies' at all, and turrets, drones and missile lock ignore them. Allied and neutral capitals still answer deliberate fire, and enemy capitals are unchanged. If a faction expels you, its ships now honour safe conduct and hold fire while you leave.
Station calls and resources
- Honest requests. Freight ships used up a station's demand without delivering, so stations stayed "short" while their price fell. One shared rule now decides what a station wants, and the market tag, comms, chatter, hails and station card all agree. Cargo "where to sell" shows what a station pays now.
- Biogel had no source. Research Outposts now run culture vats, turning 4 Energy into 2 Biogel an hour, and the help text and Field Manual say where to get it.
- Nullite can be bought from brokers at any Spire for 10 Alloys. The Advisor points you to Trade once instead of repeating the full warning.
- Mined ore waits for the colony dock's reply and stays aboard while a Refinery wing exists.
Missions keep your place
A home mission could move your Flagship to its start and leave you there. Now it remembers your system, position and heading. When the mission is done, failed, called off or you choose Fly free, you return to where you were. Retry and Next keep the first place you saved.
Smaller things
- Muster calls show Taken when the world is already yours and Lost when a Hold or Defend call falls.
- Target cycling works on mining missions.
- The Galactic Map has a Battle log of the last 60 Commander battles.
- Card flavour text now matches the art for three cards.
- The Dominion Defence drawer explains how to raise your defence budget.
Keep the reports coming through Report a bug in the settings menu. Reports that say what you were doing are the quickest to fix.

What’s new
In these releases
The dispatches from v0.10.355 to v0.10.358, as they appear on the Command Deck.
- Missions bring you back
Star Captain, Flagship missions now put you back where you were when they end, in the same system and spot, instead of sending the Flagship home. The Defence drawer in Dominion also explains how to raise your defence budget.
- No friendly fire at home
Star Captain, firing on your own capital’s ships now does no damage at all, so a stray shot cannot hurt the fleet that flies with you. Your turrets and drones never pick them as targets.
- Your own capital always welcomes you
Star Captain, fixed: your own faction’s capital could turn on you if its honour guard brushed your hull or a stray shot hit its guard. Home capitals now always welcome you, and safe conduct after an expulsion is honoured: their ships hold fire and your gate is clear. Defence fleet fights are now recorded, and the expelled card shows how you did.
- Station calls you can trust
Star Captain, a station only says it wants a good while it will pay well for it, and its call shows how much more it wants and for how long. Research Outposts now culture Biogel. Dominion’s brokers buy spare Nullite for Alloys, and a full Nullite store tells you once. Docking at a colony with a Refinery wing keeps your mined ore aboard to refine.
- Achievements keep up
Star Captain, achievements now keep up: Industrial Titan counts every Metal your colony makes, Warmaster keeps its count when your progress loads from the cloud, and galaxy firsts like Grand Strategist read your signed-in account. Dominion also checks your account before it asks you to found or name a world.
